Volkswagen Arteon Preview
The All-New Volkswagen Arteon was announced earlier this year, and Cowell Auto Group is pleased to bring you a sneak peek. Volkswagen is adding a brand new model, the Volkswagen Arteon, to its 2018 lineup. The all-new model features premium design, sportiness, great flexibility and generous space. The Premium four-door coupe is positioned above the Passat mid-size sedan and Volkswagen characterizes the new Arteon as a gran turismo vehicle with an avant-garde fastback design.
With space for five people and a fastback opening to a large cargo area the Volkswagen Arteon is a stylish car with plenty of cargo space. Delivering truly dynamic proportions, the Arteon features a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and low and wide proportions. The Arteon’s design includes a completely new front section, featuring the full-width grille, hood extending over the fenders, and bolder fender and wheel arch treatments.
Every Volkswagen Arteon will have keyless entry with push-button engine start, automatic climate control, and power-adjustable front seats. Available features include a head-up display, Volkswagen Digital Cockpit instrumentation, and a premium Discover Pro infotainment system with a 9.2-in. glass display and gesture-control technology. The fastback design allows for generous trunk room, and about as much space as a small crossover SUV more space when the seats fold down. Under the hood, the Arteon features turbocharged 4-cylinder engines, front-wheel or all-wheel drive (AWD), and VW’s Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) automated manual transmission.
According to J.D Power, the Volkswagen Arteon will be one of the most advanced vehicles in the brand’s fleet. In terms of safety technologies, Volkswagen confirms that the Arteon will have a drowsy-driver monitoring system. It will also offer a full menu of modern driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems. The Arteon’s available next-generation adaptive cruise-control system takes into account speed limits and navigation route information, automatically adjusting vehicle speed in accordance with that data. Most notably, The Arteon also offers a next-generation Emergency Assist system that activates if a driver suffers a sudden illness. Within its limits, according to Volkswagen, the system slows the car down, sways within road lines to alert other drivers and, if possible, steers the vehicle onto the closest shoulder of the road.
The Arteon should be one of the most interesting new offerings in its segment. The Arteon does not have a release date as of yet, but with over 50 years in business, Cowell Volkswagen is the place to go to find the perfect Volkswagen for you.
