Q: What happens if I postpone the maintenance on my car?

A: Many of the parts on your car are interrelated. Ignoring the required maintenance can lead to all sorts of trouble. Specific parts, or the entire system, can fail. Neglecting simple routine maintenance, such as changing the oil, can lead to a drop in fuel economy, cause unreliability or even a costly breakdown.

Question: Why should I worry about antifreeze in the summer?

A: Corrosion builds up inside the cooling system and can cause the failure of various components such as the water pump, the thermostat, the radiator cap and the heater control valve. The best way to prevent this corrosion is to periodically flush the cooling system and replace the coolant with an approved antifreeze. If the car has more than 100,000 Km's you should also consider taking the preventative step of replacing the thermostat and the radiator cap. An overheated engine could cause serious damage!
